LDS artist Del Parson grew up in Rexburg, Idaho, where his father was an art professor at the local college and his mother taught second grade. His dad often took the family on painting excursion camp-outs. Parson loved the outdoors. Drawing came naturally for him, and he found his father's love of art to be contagious.
When Del's first wife and a child died in a car accident, he found himself emotionally distraught. He felt the Comforter buoying him up during this time, and he came to know the pure love of Jesus Christ and he seeks to express that love with his art.
Both Parson's religious and historical paintings have received numerous regional and national awards. Now living in Utah with his wife, two children from his first marriage, and four children from his second marriage; Parson paints religious subjects to give others a sense of hope and share with them his love of life and its beauty.
